This Chevy aluminum fan shroud is designed to work with all engine types & down-flow radiators in the 6-cylinder position (in front of the top bar). It is made from one piece of stamped aluminum that can be left as-is or polished to a high luster. Installation is a simple slip-fit between the radiator flanges and the 6-cylinder core support flanges. If you are installing this fan shroud on a car with power steering and air conditioning, some trimming of the aluminum made be necessary to clear the pulleys. To take maximum advantage of this Chevy fan shroud, the fan should be positioned so that the blades are 1/2" in and 1/2" out of the rear edge of the shroud. If your classic tries to overheat at low speeds, don't buy a new radiator; purchase one of our Chevy aluminum fan shrouds to keep it cool!
