This Chevy side engine mount kit bolts a small block Chevy into your classic. Its main advantage over front mounts is the lateral stability that side mounting gives the engine. Front mounted engines tend to torque over and require intermediate bellhousing mounts as well. With this side mount kit, all you need is crossmember kit P/N 19-153 or similar and the engine is mounted! The frame mounts bolt to the forward engine crossmember after a few holes are drilled. Rubber cushions fit between the frame mounts and the block mounts to provide firm, vibration-free support; even with the strongest engines. Other designs may not work with different frame types (1-piece & 2-piece). This side engine mount kit works with any classic frame. This Chevy small block V8 side engine mount kit is the easiest and best way to properly install a later engine in your classic Chevy. 

 NOTE: For LS Family engine swaps, Engine adapter plates Part # 18-400 must be used with this kit to complete the swap.
