This V8 solid-state system features an adaptive dwell that maintains peak energy throughout the entire RPM range, reducing misfires while improving engine performance. The whole conversion even remains under the stock cap, so for restorers, the car appears as dead stock. Technically speaking, this ignition has rotating cobalt magnets which trigger an electronic switching module commonly referred to as a “Hall” effect integrated circuit. Practically speaking, this means you’ll always have perfect dwell regardless of how high you operate in the RPM band. The Ignitor III also has a built-in LED for user feedback confirmation of the rev limiter setting.
