The ignition switch retaining bezel nut is one of the hardest items to remove from the dash of your Chevy or GMC Truck and one of the easiest to destroy beyond all recognition if you do not have the proper tool. As an early anti-theft device the ignition bezel nut worked pretty good to keep the ignition switch in the dash of your Truck. But, if it ever needed to be removed, most people just grabbed a pair of channel locks and destroyed the bezel.
