Firewall grommets are necessary for a complete restoration or any daily driver 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 or 1974 Nova. A rubber firewall grommet is designed to go around parts such as speedometer cables, oil lines, choke or throttle cables, etc. and seal them off from the engine compartment where they pass through the fire wall. If your Nova does not have these grommets, winter chill, summer heat, engine heat and noxious gasses can pass through firewall holes into the passenger compartment.
