Finally - after years of repairing rotted tailgates, paying too much for rust free tailgates or just giving up; a brand new complete tailgate for 1955-57 Chevy Station Wagons (also fits Pontiac)is here. After submiting rust-free samples to a manufacturer almost 2-years ago, this is the result. All inner bracing, nut plates, rain gutters are in place and 100% correct! The finish and detail is amazing. The only skin holes are the holes needed to attach the handle. They eliminated the trim holes to allow the gate to fit all three years.
