Product Details
NOTE: This switch is a replacement for a blower motor switch without integrated blower resistor. Integrated blower resistor switch is more commonly found on 1958 manufactured El Camino for the 1959 model year. If you have the integrated style switch, no replacements are currently being made. Murphy’s Law… you hop in your prized 1959-1960 El Camino on a freezing day, or if you have AC, a super hot day, and fire up your baby. You go to adjust the cabin temperature and……nothing happens. You slap your dash and belt out a few obscenities or something like that. It could be your blower motor, or the wiring, but most likely it’s the 1959-1960 El Camino blower motor switch. This little electo-mechanical device allows current to flow to the blower motor to warm or cool your interior or defrost your windows. Over time, the contacts wear and switch begins to fail. We are here to help, replacement can be done on oyur B-Body El Camino with a little mechanical know-how, some simple and tools and a few hours. Remember to check your 1959-1960 El Caminos service shop manual before attempting to replace any electrical device. The El Camino Store is here to help when Murphy strikes again.
