Clay Bar Tip

If you’ve never used a clay bar to remove contaminants on your car’s paint, now is the time to start. This is actually such an easy and painless way to get rid of minor scuffs, bird droppings, tree sap, etc. Really, anything that is sitting ON TOP of your paint surface that won’t come out with regular cleaning.

Clay-bar

First step is to purchase a good clay bar kit. Eckler's carries a great kit, check it out right here. Part #57-253988-1

Clean your car thoroughly first, and dry. Then wet down the affected area with the detailer spray supplied in the kit. Bring out the clay and run it over the stain/spot, using a circular motion. “Knead” the clay from time to time, ensuring a fresh side, free of contaminants. There is no need to rub hard, let the clay do the work and make sure you keep the area wet with the detailer.

After the spot has been removed, and the area has been completely cleaned and dried, use a light coat of wax to bring back the shine.
